Short Film : Brother’s Keeper (Dir. Robert L. Poole)
The filmmaker of the movie Brother’s Keeper, Robert L. Poole shot a burning drama, which cuts to the heart in a extremely short time.
The main plot of the short film is centered around a black male student at a predominately caucasian private school. By the way, the boy is a child prodigy. When he realizes that he has been deceived by his guidance counselor and the scholarship he needs to get into college becomes only a dream, he has to go and do things he never imagined he would have to. To solve problems and forget about the ghetto, he decides to go to court, not in a traditional form, but with the secret company of the most influential people of his city. What does his participation in city rituals mean to him in the secret society? Will they write a ticket to a higher education and a way out the hood? Or will the only have him waste his time in jail like so many others? Everything seems simple at first glace. Joining this club is not so easy, it hurts.
